On January 7, Baykeeper won an important court victory to protect creeks, rivers, fish and wildlife nationwide from pesticide spraying in waterways. In a landmark decision, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals agreed with Baykeeper that pesticides sprayed into waterways are pollutants and harmful to the environment. The ruling requires the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to apply Clean Water Act oversight and protections to aquatic pesticide spraying.
